We’ve designed our menu based on local, seasonal, sustainable and organic agriculture and delicious recipes. Please join us and taste the difference of local farm-to-table sustainable cuisine in one of Lancaster's best fine dining restaurants. As the Chefs and Owners of John J Jeffries, we believe you will find our passion for supporting local businesses and preserving the land we live on, to be contagiously obvious in how we run our restaurant. All of our meats are raised locally, confinement-free on fresh green grass pastures. No hormones, antibiotics, steroids or forced-fertilization occurs. Our produce is local organic or chemical free. Very nice portions from an eclectic food menu, large selection of wines, and nice selection of PA beers. Also many options for small plates. Great atmosphere in the Lancaster Arts Hotel. Good food, however not great for the price.

JJJ is a high end farm to table restaurant. We dined there for our anniversary. It is located inside a beautiful hotel which we have stayed at as well. The atmosphere is great and it has beautiful architecture. The menu offered many unique and tasty dishes.

My husband & I dined here for the first time Saturday night with great expectation of a 5 star meal. We both had the Farm Pork with salsa and red sauce. They were tasty however; the sauce covered the chop so heavily that you couldn't see the large bone or the unpleasant amount of grizzle. Very disappointed.

Ben and Mrs Too stopped for dinner at this restaurant located in our hotel after a concert at the Fulton, and were frankly disappointed over our dinner. Unlike the first time we dined here, we found ourselves assailed by far too much sermonizing about “green”, sustainable”, and “organic” to make us feel welcome. Ben is an old Virginia farm boy, and probably knows considerably more about agriculture than do these two chefs. Mrs Too, on the other hand, is a New England city girl whose four grandparents were all born in Poland and who consequently knows peasant food when she finds it.

We are both quite devoted to healthy eco-friendly cuisine, but are decidedly not fanatic about it. Serving up a dish of mediocre lamb hash with a $36 price tag, or a green bell pepper filled with perhaps half a cup of rice (probably not organic, and certainly not local) with two or three ounces of ground beef while asking $22 for it is quite presumptuous in our view. Even though it is topped with genuine Colby cheese, it simply does not fit our lifestyle.

We realize we are in a small minority among the many diners who seem perfectly happy at Jeffries, and wish them all the good fortune they deserve. Nonetheless, we will go back to Historic Revere Inn on future visits to Lancaster County. These folks do a good job, especially in the bar/lounge, but it is definitely not for us.

My wife and I went to John J. Jeffries on a whim liking the description of Farm to Table. Wow were we pleased and impressed. To start with, Sergio our server was attentive, friendly and seemed delighted with our choices. I’m not a fan of Liver, but my wife who is said it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The Octopus in my salad was also perfectly cooked, not easy, and the pepper vinaigrette left my mouth tingling. The winner of the night was the Pork Gorditas, pulled pork on a pumpkin Johnny cake with stone ground grits, chimichurri , creme Fraiche and a roasted tomato sauce. It worked beautifully and I could have licked my plate. The braised Lamb was also beautifully done. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is top shelf, the wine list matches the food and the desserts are house made and delicious. Thanks to Sergio and all the staff...
