And amazing restaurant, I have been there for breakfast a number of times, the only place I know of to offer "pan pudding" a delicious finely ground pork that is seasoned and spiced then placed on toast points, one of my favorite breakfasts from when I was a child......a few chopped raw onions, and MY perfect breakfast........they also offer an amazing variety of normal breakfast fare, along with offering a free glass of milk and a donut for those purchasing full breakfasts. The place is immaculate, cheerful wait staff, and usually a waiting line. One can expect to meet old friends and make new ones while waiting and while eating.

There is a secret to telling if a restaurant or country store is the real deal....or not. If the establishment is closed on Sunday, it's most likely a genuine Amish farm restaurant or store. This means much more than recognizing The Sabbath Day. It means there is usually an absence of greed within the establishment; and the owners are filled with the spirit of serving their fellow man.

Although Oregon Dairy claims to be a genuine farm establishment, I found that wonderful ingredient of a loving heart missing in both the store and the restaurant.

The buffet costs less on weekdays; and I believe this may have been established because they're serving up leftovers from a busy weekend. Some of the items had that "leftover-almost-going bad" taste. The hot soups were served in plastic mugs....hot stuff in plastic - No! Although the store and restaurant were clean, restrooms were below par.

Over at the Oregon Dairy Market, prices were a bit high. Meat selection was sparse. Not one cut of prime rib offered for sale.

The best thing they have going for them is their milk (only $1.19 for a half-gallon) and their ice cream, which I believe is made on the premises. Apples in the Fall (which are like dandelion weeds all over Lancaster County) were $.99 and $1.49/lb; whereas they sell for about $.69 in many places around the area.

Very good food. We had the buffet. Good food, good salad bar, awesome dessert, and it included ice cream. It was good to have hot food and vegetables. When you're traveling, so many places are just meat and potatoes. Good service and very nice, friendly people. They also have a cute gift shop.

Went with my husband and sister for dinner. They have a separate gluten free menu which is nice. I had the roast beef, it comes with 2 sides so I had baked potato and mixed veg. Roast beef was fork tender and the whole dinner was very flavorful and good. My husband had a cheeseburger, with mashed potato and mac and cheese and my sister had their stuffed baked potato. They both also really enjoyed their meals. Very friendly staff. We'll be back again.
