We had a small family group - ages 21 - 92 for a quiet lunch. Food choices, servings and service were all outstanding.
We started with 2 appetizers - cheese fries and zucchini planks. Both were excellent. The cheese fries were hot and the cheese was gooey, just perfect. Served with ranch dressing, and of course, Heinz ketchup. The zucchini was done perfectly, nice and firm but easy to cut, served with marinara and a homemade horseradish sauce.
After all that, it was hard to think of ordering more, but we managed to try several different items. The wedding soup was delicious, nice & hot with plenty of ingredients. Three of us ordered entrees but since we'd already had the fries, we substituted a side salad, grilled veggies, and mashed potatoes with our meal. Each side was appetizing and the grilled veggies were done perfectly. The rib eye steak sandwich was very tender and tasty. The burger and BLT were all very good too. Servings were very adequate, with enough to take some home.
The server was so nice, accommodating our every need. He kept checking back on us and brought extra drinks, sauces, napkins and boxes our leftovers too.
This place is a little out of the way, but if you're looking for a good home cooked meal at a good price, this is the place to try.
