During foliage and Christmas shopping we usually wander into Mt Bethel on our way to somewhere. This year we set out to find the Mt Bethel Diner as we have enjoyed mid day meals there with family for more than 20 years . The menu may change but not the home-cooked comfort food. Sophie does all the soup while someone else does the baking
WE found a new corner in the menu that was perfect for us . "Portion wise" for the dieter, older eater or just someone seeking less food had several options for a three course meal for $6.99. Yup we had soup or salad, entrée and select desert for $6.99

With homemade soup on the line I opted for the soup while I shared the plentiful salad of my friend. The salad had more than greens and a raspberry vinaigrete dressing Our entrees were crab cake and a pork chop Plenty and fresh with cole slaw as side as also other choices. WE chose among the deserts and landed on a carrot cake and a cheesecake to share. We had plenty to eat and our bill still was under $20 for two with tax and tip. Wow. we also go to talk with at least three servers happy to talk about Mt Bethel and the diner.
Happy meal in an old friend, the Mt Bethel diner Look for the portion wise meals!

Stopped here after our trip to the Bushkill Falls for dinner. Older restaurant...nothing fancy. But menu and staff were great. Between 4 of us we had shepherds pie, 1/2 pound cheeseburger, fish and chips and crab cakes...all the food was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We were all pleased with our choice of places to stop for dinner.

We had a somewhat bad experience on our initial visit, but I can say the restaurant manager actually did reach out to us to rectify the situation. Not so common place with small business in today's day and age. Unfortunately trip advisor does not let you edit or remove your review until at least one month??? didn't know that so instead I figured I leave an update review and this is of their restaurant manager Heather. Thanks Heather!

We needed a close place to eat dinner, as we were traveling all day & decided to stop here. Walked in & was seated shortly. Large menu especially of the specials. Waitress was good with the kids! Food was yummy but waitress never checked to refill our drinks & took a long time to get our check. Would definitely go back.

Recently stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Busy place, but fast and attentive service. Both our breakfasts were great. We will be back.
