Nektar is a hip little multi level establishment that bills itself as a wine, beer, and whiskey bar. The back opens up, along with an outside porch, to a nice view of the meandering creek and the PA Playhouse, with people watching as an entertaining option. It was a great day to eat all' fresco, so we opted for outdoor seating.
The menu is kind of unique with literally pages of beverage options with interesting flights of all kinds of goodies. They specialize primarily in whiskeys and bourbons for cocktails but they do have one specialty bottle each of vodka, rum, and tequila for something different. A nice selection of tapas were available, so it was not hard to find something for everyone.
Arianne was our waitress that day and she did an awesome job. The pace was leisurely and she was very attentive, even though she got slammed with a handful of tables shortly after we arrived. All of the menu items we selected were perfectly prepared and pleasing to the palate. Our favorites were the tuna tartare, mushroom fries, and the charcuterie plate (which offered an outstanding selection to choose from). Everything was served as it was ready but it was paced as such that our table was never overcrowded with plates. Enjoyed some great wines by the glass after my scotch on the rocks and it ended up to be a well balanced meal.
Not in the area much anymore, but this would be our go-to spot for sure if we were.
