Allentown KOA Campground

This was a very pleasant KOA to spend the night. It was quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While it was a quiet and pleasant place to stay, the pool was on the cold side for being heated. The miniature golf is being upgraded next year, but my grandson and I still enjoyed it.

We stayed in the new cabin, K2 which was well equipped with kitchen utensils, a double bed with a very soft comfy comforter, and two bunk beds.

Overall, this is a very pleasant place to spend the night, but they could use more activities. The setting itself is very nice with a small stream running through it, a little covered bridge, a decent camp store and nice woods. We bought firewood, and the staff that delivered it led us to our site, but this is an easy campground to get around.

Bring towels since they do not provide those. They do not have breakfast available at the campground, so we tried the bagel shop which they recommended, at the intersection of 100 and 309. Their bagels were average, and their smoothies watery, so you might want to consider bringing in your breakfast.

Room Tip: If you rent a cabin with bathroom, K2 is a nice new cabin with fire-pit and grill attached.

This campground is perfect if you are visiting Dorney Park. The park is a short drive away and this is the nicest campground in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-In was efficient and an escort to our site was available if needed. Staff picks up trash from campsites multiple times during the day. Some of the campsites are shallow - when making a reservation, but sure to tell staff the size of your camper. The campground has several “companion sites,” which is great if you are camping with friends since your campers face each other and you share a common area with fire rings and picnic tables. This is not so great if you are camping alone since the boundaries of each campsite are not clearly defined. Campground had a fenced in dog park which was a great place for our puppy to play. The roads and campsites are all gravel. Some of our neighboring campers cut through our campsite to get to the bathhouse constantly. This is no fault of the campground, but was still annoying, and if I stay here again, I will choose a site that doesn’t have the potential for this to happen. Overall, the campground is peaceful and quiet, although occasionally the kids playing in the pool were quite loud. We have stayed her twice now, and will continue to visit in the future.

This is a nice campground in a very beautiful area in the Lehigh Valley. The camp sites are a bit narrow, but nice and level. The bathrooms and other facilities were well kept and the entire staff was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be other campers cutting through camp sites and the noise level of some camp sites music. The management needs to enforce the rules better for those not familiar with camping and teach them camping etiquette. The primary problem were the campers in the cabins who may not be seasoned campers.

Room Tip: Most all camp sites are great!

Four friends and 1 had paid for a tent site and and had set up all tents when it began to thunderstorm and rain. This continued for hours, we went to the office to buy tarps to try and save the tents. The woman behind the counter offered us a cabin free of charge when she found out we were staying in tents.

This saved our trip and was an extremely nice gesture and she would not take money off of us for the cabin.
Cabin was clean, and all amenities were working and as always with KOA provided a great experience.

Room Tip: Same standard and layout as all KOA campgrounds.

Campground was huge! Had a lot of amenities, a recreational room, a mini golf course (free), the option to rent movies, laundry room, multiple clean bathrooms for families, a small TV, fridge, heater and a/c in the cabin & pet friendly. We had thunderstorms the first night of our trip so having the comfort of a TV really helped to pass the night. Cabin was clean, bathrooms were cleaned and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only negative was the bed foam was a bit worn and sunk in the middle, besides that I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. You can't go wrong staying here. Best experience I've had at a KOA.
