First, the cons: The grounds and buildings are extremely attractive which is what drew us. The staff was friendly. A great place to stroll the grounds. Our room was fine, with just a few problems (see below). The cats were delightful.
Now, the cons: Two problems with the room: the mattress was unbelievably stiff, and the heating unit sounded more like a freight train. The location is close to busy highways where the traffic is quite heavy at times. The complimentary breakfast was not up to Hampton Inn standards: everything barely warm, soggy pancakes, tasteless sausages, and that sign on the table practically begging for tips.
On balance, the pros outweigh the cons.More
