Great location. Very clean and quiet.
Would highly recommend. Travel 30 weeks a year Nd this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast and the restaurant were both great. Do not forget the free cookies.

I was greatly disappointed by this hotel. Check-in took almost 30-45 minutes. The hotel garage was full, and I was directed to a municipal garage for which the hotel would not provide reimbursement. The room was small, with a 4' x 7' bathroom and only 3' clearance between the room door and the closet/wall immediately in front of the door. The toilet was slow flushing and almost overflowed, the drapes didn't close, access to the blinds required moving furniture, and the blinds chain was broken. Other guests were rooming the hallway carrying on loud conversations until 1:30am. There were no snack vending machines, and the commissary was minimally stocked with approximately 100-400% markup for items. When I raised these issues at checkout, notes were made, but there was no offer of partial reimbursement, vouchers, or amenities. To it's credit, the room was nicely appointed, with a very comfortable bed, and the room was clean. But many, much less costly hotels, provide the same. I do not recommend this hotel.

My husband and I visited Pittsburgh since we had heard so many wonderful things about the city. Staying at the Doubletree was wonderful. It is very well located, within easy walking distance to Market Square as well as other sights. Additionally it is across the street from the rail system called the "T". Our suite was lovely and spacious. The bathroom could have used a little updating. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent. Front desk staff was welcoming. Breakfast staff was also welcoming and efficient. We were warmly greeted by Linda Wilson who is the Director of Sales. She is a very special person and made us feel very welcome. This was our first time in Pittsburgh and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful city as well as the Doubletree Hotel.

This hotel was adequate considering I booked through a Priceline bid. It was a little far out to conveniently walk to the main downtown areas we wanted to visit but they offered a free shuttle service that proved handy a couple times. The room was adequate if a bit small. The bathroom was cramped and had old fixtures. It's fine if you get a good price. I would not pay the regular rate, though.

Location was very good to get to convention center. Also close enough to PNC Park to have a short drive.

Hotel we very basic. No fridge.

For some reason I loved the bed. Felt like I could have slept for 24 hours. Didn't seem to be anything special about the bed but it was great.

Not the best place to load/unload car and check in. Front door is right on the street so you have constant city traffic going by and there are a lot of people trying to get a spot to unload their car.

Staff was professional and friendly.

Restaurant that was part of hotel looked nice but we didn't eat there. Just ordered delivery.

Did not have time to check out the indoor pool so no review of that.

I would stay again if I was only looking for efficiency and reasonable cost. If I was going for any sort of in room amenities, I would probably look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Its a city view in any direction.
