The location is great if you are new to the city (as we were) as you can walk around anything downtown, the Strip District and across the bridge to PNC Park. The first night we attended a concert at PPG Arena and it was great to walk home in a few minutes.
The staff is friendly and helpful but there is not enough of them. Staffing levels in many areas are an issue. The restaurant was understaffed, the front desk (many lines) and although they have a shuttle, there was never a person to drive it. No door or bellstaff that I ever saw.
Our room was on a Honors floor but it didn't seem like an upgrade of any kind. The size of the room was fine but the bathroom was tiny. Frankly, it's a motel bathroom. The shower barely worked and the toilet had to be fixed three times.
That said, the stay was not bad and I'd stay again if attending a show or baseball game if the price was reasonable.More
