The fountain was broken for many years. It serves like the Arch in St. Louis to introduce the city. We enjoyed watching the Duck come in from the west for one Pittsburgh activity. Just going down on a hot summer's day and watching boat activity, taking in views, and being refreshed by the spritz of the fountain is very enjoyable.

I routinely come here just to get some views when I'm downtown. I also went for the Independence Day fireworks on July 4 and I was not disappointed. The management maintains a clean park. I love the fountain now that the renovation is finally done. This is a special gem you really won't find anywhere else. There are a lot of special civic events held here throughout the year as well. Check online calendars frequently.

I appreciated that this was a calm and peaceful place right off the bustle of the business district. The museums were closed when we visited, but we had a nice walk around the park and down to the fountain.

Although nicer in the summer when the fountain is on, it is still worth it to bundle up and walk over in the winter. The tree is nice, as are the views across the river to the stadium, as well as of the inclines.

Nice walk along the river. The fountain is really cool in the summer. This was the 1st time we say it in the winter and the tree is nice.
