Location was good, big parking out side, you need to lucky to get proper welcoming treatment, depending on who is at front desk. Room service has to be requested as running on short staff, breakfast was usual Hampton but same everyday, not much options in breads or bagels one kind only.

This place is WAY over priced for the cleanliness and quality of the hotel. Old dingy gross. Paint was smudged on the floor wall and table. If I paid like $100 I’d expect this but I paid over $300 for one night and felt like I was staying in a road side motel
The room was great. Equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. The Breakfast was ok which is expected because it’s included. The breakfast attendant doesn’t have to say we are closing a hundred times. We get it, just close it. The PM front desk was great when I checked on 7.4.22 (9pm), however the front desk in the morning was not accommodating (red head female) She said no to any question I would ask. Can I store my luggage while I wait for my bus, which she said no. African American lady was accommodating and said yes we can store your luggage in the back office. Can I have a little bit of a late check out cause I have to wait for my bus, which she made a face and said no at first and changed her mind and gave me until 11:30am. She seemed like I was annoying her. I stayed at The Comfort Inn yesterday which the staff was amazing but just not the hotel we are used too so we decided to stay here. All in all stay was great but red head female needs a little bit of more training on Hospitality.
I am not sure why most people accept less than clean hotel rooms to rest their head while on vacation or otherwise. I have stayed at several hotels in Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg and Bartonsville and find the one thing in common is little is done to keep the properties clean and inviting. In the case of this Hampton Inn, besides not being very clean, the elevators looked like NYC housing project elevators. There were several different odors in the hallways. The breakfast was terrible, no fruit, very sparse selection of breakfast items i.e bagels, muffins, cereals etc. The atmosphere inside the hotel was dingy and depressing.
I will add this Hampton Inn to the growing list of where not to stay in the Pocono
This hotel is very clean the staff is friendly and courteous the breakfast is delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to rest and have a good time at the same time. The location of the hotel is very nice too
Once we found this hotel, we stop whenever we travel East from our home in Iowa. We had stayed on the west side of Straudsburg, but when we found this hotel it became our favorite. It’s in the picturesque old part of town, just a few blocks off of I-80.
The rooms look recently refurbished and everything is clean and bright.
The breakfast was the best since the Covid days started.
This is a very nice Hampton Inn.
