I am not sure why most people accept less than clean hotel rooms to rest their head while on vacation or otherwise. I have stayed at several hotels in Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg and Bartonsville and find the one thing in common is little is done to keep the properties clean and inviting. In the case of this Hampton Inn, besides not being very clean, the elevators looked like NYC housing project elevators. There were several different odors in the hallways. The breakfast was terrible, no fruit, very sparse selection of breakfast items i.e bagels, muffins, cereals etc. The atmosphere inside the hotel was dingy and depressing.
I will add this Hampton Inn to the growing list of where not to stay in the Pocono
