the place is cozy, though pads on chairs would be nice, love the teas, and the chicken pot pie, scones are really nice, fresh.

I received a gift card to A Taste and Britain for afternoon tea for two. The presentation and food was excellent. I'm still thinking about the lemon scones. Served in the traditional style of loose tea in a pot, I highly recommend the Earl Gray with lavender. We were really impressed with how friendly the staff was from the moment we walked in. As much as I enjoyed the tea sandwiches, they have many other menu items to choose from. You may want to make a reservation. It's a busy place.

I love the meat pies, sausage rolls & scones at A Taste of Britain. As good as the best I've had on trips to England ... if not better. They also sell a variety of other packaged British specialty foods such as Mr. Kipling biscuits, jams, clotted cream & teas.

Although I usually do take-out, they have a beautiful room for est-In lunch or afternoon cream tea.

This was such a treat.
From the moment of entry we were greeted by smiling and friendly greetings.
In the entry area there were all the candies and food products that we had growing up, from Britain.
It was so good we went back twice in three days for lunch.
The curried chicken sandwich was exactly the way it should be. Delicious!!!
My British born wife had the cottage pie. It had meat and potatoes and peas and onions. She was in heaven.
The afternoon tea sandwiches on the tall tray looked amazing.
The second visit we had those sandwiches. They were perfect.
The waitresses could not have been nicer both visits.
The owners, Debbie and Edward were great. Debbie remembered us on our second visit as though we had been coming for ever. That we will do every time we come to Philadelphia area.
Needless to say we bought a bunch of British foods and candies. Also a really neat mug with musical notes on it.
This is a must stop any time you are close.
