I brought my friend here from Kansas and she absolutely loved it. This was her first time to a "tea house" and she actually looked to see if she had tea houses near her in Kansas.

Quint little place which offers everything British....from delish little tea sandwiches for lunch to afternoon tea with scones to yummy homemade soups.
The staff are very friendly and the little shop on the side offers lots of little treats from across the pond. Being a vegetarian myself this restaurant has a lot of options.
This is my favorite places to have lunch with my girlfriends. Reservations are highly recommended.

The service is kind but VERY slow. The food is delicious (except for the soups, for some reason). The tea sandwiches and scones are AMAZING. They have all the flavors of tea you could want (and more). It's small, and reservations fill up fast, but it's worth it (despite the steep pricing).

The restaurant is small, so reservations for peak times are recommended though not required. They pay attention to their food so dishes are very tasty and nicely seasoned. We had the curried Cauliflower salad (a nice surprise with dates and almonds); a delicately balanced carrot-ginger-orange soup served with a drizzle of balsamic; a delicious chicken and corn chowder of which I should have ordered a bowl, not a cup; and the curried chicken salad (good but not great) served on a fresh and flaky croissant. Then we had the warm Bakewell Tart (it was missing the icing on top but very flaky and almondy) and the gingerbread cake with lemon curd. All of this with a nice pot of Forest Oolong. A very satisfying lunch and a nice cozy place. Yes, it was full of older white ladies, but the place and young friendly staff will make all ages and ethnicities feel welcome. I'd love to come back for a nice tea break! I see they have finger sandwiches and clotted cream. Mmmm. They also have a small pantry/gift shop where you can get tins of Birds Custard Powder or a jar of ginger marmalade...which I did.

Thank Daphne G

This is a nice little tea shop (or shoppe, I guess if we're going to go all olde worlde for some reason). People are very friendly and the full Engligh High Tea of finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, and small cakes is delicious. Book ahead though, as the place is quite busy. There is a large selection of tea and it is served properly using teapots. Refills of hot water are available, as is traditional. Sit back, relax and chat with your fellow guests.
A small shop serving a selection of comestibles and trinkets from Blighty completes the experience.
