Wife and I spent the weekend (end of July) here as we attended a Train Show in Pennsdale PA not far from here. Great room in a beautiful home. Very friendly staff, and a great breakfast. Only complaint I have is the hour (9 am) when breakfast is served. For some who want to leave early to explore the area, this is kind of late

Room Tip: I would say all rooms are good

The Inn had period furnishing keeping with the history of the area. Our host was very very knowledgeable of the area, personable and intelligent. Breakfast was made with fresh local ingredients. Nicer than any sterile hotel room!!!

Room Tip: Although the Green Room has it's own bath it is across the hall and can be a little inconvenient.

Super warm welcome upon arrival. Room was exceptionally clean and inviting, very well appointed. Helpful Inn keepers for advice on things to do and see. Hearty breakfast and delicious - everything homemade, charming decor through out the Inn.

Peter Herdic Inn is an amazing mansion on "Millionare's Row" surrounded by similarly amazing homes. We went on the Sunday before Memorial Day and somehow were the only people in the Inn. The doors to every room were open so we got to tour the entire place. It literally looks like the house still has all the original furniture in it, but in great condition.

Our room was #2 which had a large, private bath with a crawfoot tub. The bed was super comfortable but a little small for us since we have a King at home. Furniture looked like it was original to the 1800s which made the entire place feel historic. The house was super quiet, all we heard was birds singing.

Location is excellent - right near downtown Williamsport and walking distance to anything you could want.

Lena was our Innkeeper and cook and took great care of us. She made us breakfast and brought it up to our room for breakfast-in-bed. Dill and Veggie omelet and potato pancakes were excellent.

Next time we are in Williamsport we are staying here again without question.

Room Tip: Room #6 is first floor with a hottub, next time we are staying there.

We stayed in "The red room". It was located on the first floor and the rear door to the inn was directly outside our door. Thankfully other guests were courteous and kept the noise of entrance and exit to a minimum. The room was a large, two room suite with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The commode was in a separate room of its own with a small sink. The "commode room" was extremely small and located under a stairwell making the ceiling low and sloped. Completely non accessible for handicapped guests. Breakfast was served at 9am and was exceptional. Served were egg dishes and meats from various local farms. Additionally there were freshly baked cookies in the common room each night.

I based my 5 star rating on what we found at the inn. The restaurant is another story. Prices at the restaurant have to be based on the atmosphere where it is served rather than quality and portion size. I ordered the crab cake special. This included 2 crab cakes that were the same size as a can of shoe polish or half as big as a can of Tuna fish. It also included 3 small red potatoes and 5 pieces of asparagus for $39.00.

To sum it up I give the inn 5 stars. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The innkeeper and gentleman who made breakfast were accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and "Things to do". We felt very welcome during our stay. I will also sum up the restaurant as 2 stars for the atmosphere. However the portions, price and quality left much to be desired.
