Description: Redlefsen's is a German - American Restaurant which celebrates it's German heritage while allowing a percentage of its menu to satisfy other worldly palates. The porcelain beer towers pour German drafts in proper glassware, including das boot. The schnitzels and sauerbraten are as authentic as if you were in Bavaria. But if someone in your group must have calamari, Redlefsen's will be able to provide one of the best in the State.

The establishment is quaint, clean and has a European flavor. The wiener schnitzel was listed as a dinner menu item but they fixed it special for me for lunch when I requested it. Unbelievable choices of beer! I enjoyed my lunch immensely! Will go there again when I am visiting that area!

The food and service are always great. Be sure to make reservations to visit during Octoberfest. It's a blast!

I love to eat here, especially in the colder months. The German beer is amazing. That really is one of the only reasons I come here. The double bochs are just yummy and worth the trip. Oh and the German food is excellent. This place never disappointed.

The owner is usually on premise which is nice and he is very pro active with occasions and promotions. It's fundamentally a German restaurant but there are a few surprise items on the menu that shouldn't be ignored. My husband says they have the best bolognese pasta- one of the best he's had. Their crepe appetizers are excellent as well... But it's difficult for a vegan to eat there and as we are a mixed up couple :-) it's a difficult place to go together for dinner. So here's the trick, call two days in advance for reservations and ask for the puttanesca pasta (that used to be on the menu) without anchovies and with the gluten pasta (egg free) and ask them to lighten up on the oil. Other than that, the asparagus in the crepes, and a veggie medley (with butter), there are no veggies served at this restaurant- you can also get a salad (big whoops...that gets old). That said, it is German. Now about the veal, my husband is a connoisseur of veal. I know, I told you we are an odd couple...He says the judge of good veal is when you can cut it with a fork- he finds the veal schnitzel tough and dry here and always a disappointment. That said, maybe that is how they serve it traditionally in Germany- I do not know, just reporting so don't shoot the messenger! They have outside dining across from the park & water which is a big plus for atmosphere. Outstanding beer selection I am told. And a beer tasting menu that friends enjoyed.

We have followed this restaurant for about 25 years. Now in it's second location , it has become iconic with it's followers. We have never tried the American dishes , never being disappointed with the German.
