First time we visited. We loved it. Calamari appetizer was amazing. Chris the waiter was great. I had a great ribs dish and my wife had a very gourmet kitchen dish

Yesterday was our second visit to Celestial, this time for breakfast. It would be hard to find a finer meal. They use the best quality locally sourced ingredients, perfectly prepared, and presented as you would expect at a Michelin starred establishment, without the ridiculous prices. This is a local cafe, simply decorated, with a knockout menu. Every dish has a twist that sets it apart from the average.

Our prior visit was for the monthly "Farm Dinner". This five course meal, including one adult beverage, has several choices at each course. Each dish was unique and beautiful. I don't think I have ever had a finer dining experience, certainly not for less than a hundred bucks per couple.

The owner/chef makes a point of coming out to be sure that every guest is enjoying his or her meal. It is worth driving from anywhere in the state to enjoy this delightful restaurant.

We have recently dined here many times after a long hiatus because of their previous inconsistency in service and food preparation as we thought that it had recently improved.. Unfortunately, fresh experiences have caused a "not rushing back" decision once again. Our service person was slow and ignored simple requests for much needed silverware once entrees were served. Instead of producing the needed flatware, a nearby table was attended to first, and only after a second request was it produced. Meanwhile entrees were cooling. A fish special was so over-cooked and and dried out that it was inedible and even a request for a sauce (charged extra for, unconscionably) did not help it become palatable. It was delivered not as described, with a mass of overdressed, large greens minus the promised heirloom tomatoes with strange tiny squares of a few potatoes and even fewer promised caramelized onions. This was the second time one experienced over-cooked fish so perhaps they are reheating it. Prices were not offered with the delivery of the list of specials. An oyster appetizer was so doused with balsamic vinegar that one could not taste any oyster flavor. The chef owner is very sincere about local sourcing and does offer locally produced vegetables and meats. However more attention needs to be paid to details of his dishes as they are leaving the kitchen and better training of staff. Prices here are higher than the area would suggest but if the quality would remain consistent and high it would be worth it. Currently it is not.

Perhaps there should be a review category for "fine dining in the middle of nowhere." The Celestial Cafe certainly would fit. It must be the best restaurant in the entire state of Rhode Island - definitely the best dinner out that I've had in quite a while. Owner/chef Brandon has hosted diners for the past 15 years in this unprepossessing location, featuring beautifully prepared and presented dishes based on locally available farm sources. Highly recommended!

This is the second best restaurant in the State of Rhode Island, and RI isn't big, so I can tell you with absolute confidence. This is a full service restaurant. They do NOT sell crystals nor have a message board offering rumbuki massage or "Find the path to your Inner Healing", as one might expect from a name like "Celestial". So it's safe to take your gramma or even your uncle Bill who voted for Trump. They serve farm fresh food and list the names of the local farms in the area where they get it. They have surf, turf and veggie dishes made by a young chef who is extremely creative and a little bit daring. His mom is one of the waitresses and she's pretty great. This is a "NICE" place, new and clean. You can wear jeans and sandals, but you'll see people dressed up too. It's not too expensive though, a meal like this in NYC would easily cost 65.00 a plate. They charge in the low 20s and you can get a gourmet burger for 15. This is our favorite "go to" option for out of towners looking for a nice dinner with nice ambiance. It's the second best restaurant in Rhode Island so if you're in the area it's totally worth the drive.
