My Husband and I recently stayed at the Cuthbert to celebrate our 23 Anniversary and all the other Holidays we missed during his deployment. We loved the Mariner's room with the private entrance to come and go without disturbing anyone. Loved the friendly atmostphere and dining with other guests .Mary Ann and Jeff are very friendly and host wonderful breakfasts.. complete with fresh fruit each morning, We had a wonderful time checking out the sites around Beaufort and Hunting Island lighthouse and the awesome Live Oak tree that Forrest Gump and Jenny sat in.. a definite must see.. it was amazing.

Room Tip: Loved the Mariner Suite with its private entrance and large jetted tub. Very quaint room with all th...

My husband and I stayed here in celebration of our 44th anniversary. Mary Ann and Jeff were marvelous hosts not only with their recommendations for dining but their beautiful breakfasts and fun party entertaining friends in connection with the Film Festival Weekend. We had fun chatting with their neighbors and others connected with the festival. Their home is in the perfect location for walking to town for shopping, dining, people watching. The Cuthbert House is charming and with such interesting history. If you're looking for a special place to stay, this is it!!!

Room Tip: We loved having our own outside entrance which allowed a view of their beautiful garden. The room h...

We just stayed at The Cuthbert House Inn for two nights over Valentine's Day. We had a great time and would highly recommend it to others. It is just a short walk to most places. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the suite we stayed in ( The Eastlake Suite) was amazing. Lots of southern charm. We would definitely stay there again.

I love Beaufort and if you are coming here, the place to stay is the Cuthbert House Inn. It is walking distance to everything and the rooms are full of southern charm. This is from a person who has lived in Charleston over thirty years.

Room Tip: The Garden Room is large and very quiet.

I found this B&B online and after looking at the pictures, decided to book it. Upon arrival I was in awe of the room we stayed in. We stayed in the Mariner Suite. Many times, pictures can be misleading, but in this case, the pictures do the Cuthbert House no justice. The room was very neat and very clean. The breakfast is served a little early (8 - 9 am) compared to other B&B I've stayed at, but the food was great. Rather than the breakfast being served to you in your room, you must go to the dinning room area and sit at one of the 6 tables set up in there. It is a great house to stay in just to experience being in a place that is 200 years old.

Because it was pouring down rain the weekend that we stayed, we did not venture out much. However, the house was right down the street from galleries, restaurants, and right in front of the water. So, the location was great. We drove across the bridge and went to Hunting Island to visit the beach and light house there. Beaufort is a beautiful little town! Overall we have no real complaints...the owners are more business oriented and less personable.

(I traveled in 2010, but just came across this site and figured I'd add mine to it)

Room Tip: The Mariner Suite is a great room for a romantic get a way. The entrance is private, and from the ou...
