Everyone told me how fun the market was and what great shopping it had, so I came in expecting a heavy dose of local craft/artisanal work. While there was a smattering of that, it feels heavily touristy and is very crowded. Maybe worth a quick walk through, but not an ideal shopping experience.

The market is great for souvenirs and partially air conditioned. Always delightful. Bought a straw gasket and some sugared pecans, gifts to bring home.

We were looking forward to visiting the market, hoping for some locally made items. There were a few sweet grass basket vendors that seemed like authentic makers, some locally made jewelry, prints, and photos. The majority were re-sellers and t-shirt vendors. Good for trinkets or cheap tees.
