Excellent hotel. Convenient to everything downtown, super friendly staff. Rooms might be considered a little small but this is an older historic hotel in the historic district. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and this is a top notch one. Priced competitively for downtown.
Highly recommend

Nice hotel, good location --very friendly people on the desk. Tourist Welcome Center is right across the street. Has all kinds of information on what to see and book tours. The Trolley is located right across the Street. which is very convenient. It is free and different trolleys will take you to various parts of the city. Great!!! Whatever this hotel recommends for tours -- be sure you listen to them . We booked a tour with Grey Lines and it was not good. the air condition on bus was not working and we had a very poor guide-- this was the city tour.

Room tip: We had a problem with the first room they gave us but the problem was dissolved and everything else was great.

This hotel is ideal if you are in town for a few days and need a place in a central location. The price is reasonable and adequate to rooms cleanliness, beds' comfort, morning breakfast, and friendliness of staff. The hotel is across the street from stop of the green free trolleys to the waterfront and the City market. It has a small pool, quiet and not overcrowded. The clientele is an older crowd, very laid back and in town for a quiet relaxed time. Definitely great for a family trip.

We were in walking distance of many of the major attractions and restaurants in Charleston. If you don't want to walk, there was a free trolley stop across the street. The hotel staff was excellent, answering many of my questions and giving directions to local popular attractions. The breakfast was a good start to each day. Our room was clean and quiet. I need to point out that front desk clerk Gaylie was very helpful. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Charleston.

Room tip: First floor was quiet and convenient.
