Our docent was very interesting but most of what she had to say was repeated in the video. I knew very little about the rice industry in South Carolina so it was informative but the displays are a bit tied.

Great way to spend an hour while in Georgetown! Our tour guide, Zenobia, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting history about the region and how rice became a Low Country staple.

This is a great local museum this town can be proud of. Detailed displays, beautiful architecture in the buildings and loved seeing the remnants of boat that was found close by. Our guide Phil did outstanding job of explaining the rice production and lives of those living on the rice plantations, answering our questions and was very welcoming. Really liked the gallery and gift shop too. Would recommend this museum to travelers like us and locals, thank you, great job to all involved there!

Wally, our guide, did a very good job telling the story of Georgetown as the rice capital of the world, and about the historically significant ship that is on the third floor. The dioramas in the clock tower building are a little tired looking and that display got very congested with the size of our tour group. Worth the admission price.
