Undoubtably the best hotel on Hilton Head! We have pretty luxurious, discerning taste and it impressed us! The inn is esthetically pleasing and clean, but the service is what made our stay unforgetable. The European intern staff is friendly, helpful, and goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. You are welcomed into your room by a hand-written welcome letter and chocolate in a gold box. The rooms are large, clean, with comfortable beds, robes and slippers, and the bathrooms are upscale and beautiful. Flatscreen TVs and wireless in each room. The common areas on the 1st floor include a TV room/library, eating area, complimentary water/tea/lemonade, and a porch overlooking the golf course. There is a pool on the immediate inn grounds, but the beach is about a 10 minute bike ride (complimentary bikes are available for guests & the bike paths are delightful). This is a great place to stay if you like golf and tennis (tons of courts!). As an Inn guest, you have access to all of the Sea Pines Resort locales (fitness center, beach club, etc) and you also receive discounts at the Sea Pines restaurants & Harbour Town outings (kayaking, parasailing, etc). The Inn also has a spa, which unfortunately we didn't have time to try. Overall, a delightful place to stay! Highly recommended.

We booked this hotel for spring break with our two children, ages 9 and 12. The service here was impeccable. From the time you check in until you check out you are warmly greeted (by your name) each time you arrive and your needs are anticipated fully.

The room was wonderful and meticulously cleaned. Flat screen tv, iPod dock, marble bathroom with large tub and separate glass walled shower all included in the large room. The hotel's main areas are lovely. A previous reviewer asked "Why the plaid?" The plaid jacket is the jacket worn by the winner of the Heritage golf tournament held there. We thought the bellman in the kilt was great. We enjoyed the well priced and delicious breakfast with made to order omelets each morning and were able to do so inside or outside on the patio overlooking the golf course. Wireless internet, morning newspaper (your choice of paper), morning coffee and tea as well as bikes were all complimentary. Also, each evening a complimentary Moulton Brown amenity was delivered during turndown service. That was a nice treat.

The hotel is not on the beach, but the beach club is a short (2-3 minutes) drive or bike ride away. The beach club has food service on a deck with tables and umbrellas overlooking the ocean with a full bar and snow cone stand for the children. There is also a small shop for sunscreen, beach toys, etc.. As a guest of the hotel you may also use several of the Sea Pines pools.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a five minute drive. The only drawback we experienced are the thin walls. You can definitely hear some noise from the room next door, although we only experienced this a couple of times. It was not bothersome.

We thought this hotel was well priced, friendly and had top notch service. We will return.

This is a top-notch establishment with large, well appointed rooms, great amenities, and attentive service. I knew from the near lack of availability when making the reservation that the hotel was almost full, but we felt like the only guests in the place--the mark of an extremely well-run operation. Initially, when I saw the bellman wearing a kilt (Hilton Head as the Scottish Highlands???), I groaned inwardly, thinking this might be one of these resort properties where you are never left alone, and it takes $20 in tips every time you step out of your room. This was not the case at all. The service was courteous unobtrusive efficiency at its best.
My only disappointment was the lack of proximity to the beach. While I realized when booking the room, that the hotel was not on the beach, I had somehow assumed that it would be within walking distance of the beach. (This was a mistake on my part--and not any false advertising claim on the part of the resort.) It was a short drive to the beach club and since we were there off season, parking was not a problem. During the summer months, beach access might be an issue. If you're looking for a first class hotel with a golf resort feel, this is the place for you. If your priority is access to the beach, I'd choose someplace with perhaps less luxury but an oceanfront location.

My husband and I were over visiting from the U.K. and in fact we stayed longer at the Inn than originally planned. The standard of accomodation was excellent, despite renovation work going on, but it was the professional approach of the staff which impressed us most. Thank you Sandra & co. for your warm and friendly attention. Top of the range establishments can often be accused of a certain pretentiousness from staff members but this was certainly not the case. A well trained, helpful and quality team!

Exceptional staffing by the European interns, warm, friendly and welcoming. Terrific location in Sea Pines with just a short walk to the Harbour Town shops and restaurants. Back porch with rockers overlooking the first tee provides a most relaxing spot for conversation and a drink. An omelet station breakfast each morning was included with perfectly cooked eggs and assorted pastries, cereals and rolls and accompanied by delicious coffee. Golf course view room was large, nicely outfitted with excellent linens, very comfortable king bed and twice daily housekeeping service. A first class experience at a very reasonable price. Most highly recommended.
