Thoroughly enjoyed a winter getaway. Beautiful area, pedestrian friendly. Sunrise walk along the beach. We saw several pods of dolphin. Quiet and peaceful.
There are many local options for shopping and dining.

This was our first time staying at the Spinnaker. It was fairly updated and for once empty cabinets for our things in the kitchen. For those of you who go you know what I am talking about. Anyway first impression was good. At the front desk we were greeted by a gentleman (sorry do not remember his name). He was very friendly. Then we drove over to the Spinnaker. As I said first impression was great. But when taking a bath they had forgotten to cover up a hole in the ceiling, then in the master bath the mildew that gets under the latex was yuck. My biggey about these units is no immediate access to the beach. Yes, you can get in the car and DRIVE to where you can enter but in season that would be horrible with the traffic. They do furnish bikes and they come with your rental. My husband suggested to them baskets would be great. One thing if noise bothers you, check to make sure you are not by the swimming pool. In Season that could be a very loud place. Out of season it really doesn't matter where you stay. Overall I would say the place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The upstairs does get quite warm when the heat is on but we just opened up the windows.

Stayed in off season, so Shipyard was not busy. Units are very clean. Furniture is dated and bath sinks are crazy low, but everything works. It’s a long, windy ride from 278 to the units, but the area is very well kept. Bikes for each unit is a nice touch. Could not figure out how to turn on the hot tub jets in the pool area. Units are on the golf course and have a nice sitting area in the back. I’d stay there again.

Although the weather didn't cooperate during our stay, we enjoyed our accommodations. Beds very comfortable and the unit was well equipped. We were able to use the storage area to lock up our bikes. Spent two weeks - and the clean in the middle of our stay was very efficient - and attendant was very friendly. Check in was fast and staff there very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival we encountered the nastiest, most unwelcoming check in staff we have ever encountered in over 20 years of time share travel. The first unit had an overpowering toxic smell that did not diminish after over an hour of having all windows and doors open. An extremely helpful maintenance worker investigated and immediately moved us to another “prepared” unit. That unit had not been cleaned. There was food in the refrigerator, dirty towels strewn around bathrooms and unmade beds with dirty linens on them. Next we were moved to a unit that had no toxic odor and had been “cleaned”. The slats in the blinds in the door had a large hole in them. The carpet had food crumbs on it. A bathroom shelf thing had a deep layer of dust mixed with hair on it. The sinks were not well cleaned. The floor vents were caked with nasty looking crud and had obviously never been dusted. We watched a live roach crawl across the kitchen floor. The sheets were so worn and thin one thought they must be at least twenty years old. The bedspread smelled like it had not been cleaned in months, if not years. Neither of us slept worth a darn in that nasty, dirty unit. The next day we asked them to clean the second, uncleaned unit we were assigned the night before so we could move back there. We watched the cleaners work, bought some new sheets, and had an acceptable stay in that unit.
