Though this hotel has outside entrances it felt very safe. It was clean, has friendly staff and a very good breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. The proximity to the. Beach (across the street) is a plus!

Great place to stay. Check-in process easy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lobby very modern and clean. Room updated and clean. Breakfast very good with lots of choices. Check-out very simple. Would recommend to anyone staying in Hilton Head.
Comfortable and quiet, but in serious need of refurbishing. Dingy and worn out. Staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. Breakfast buffet was subpar with only pre-packaged foods and the only low sugar choice was a pre-packaged hard-boiled egg.

My business partners and I along with our pets had to make last minute plans to leave SW Florida even before the storm was turning into a monster. We left town on the 24th and stayed a couple nights in Savannah. We then decided we needed larger rooms when we saw what was coming and found the Ocean Breeze at Hilton Head. I could not drive long distances so the staff at this hotel were great and gave us 2 nice rooms with balcony and kitchenette accommodations. During this frightening and uncertain week everyone was calm and kept us updated. I was able to check out early after I learned my home was saved and had power. My friends had to stay a few more days. I would come back and stay here if I ever get to SC again. What a great hotel and friendly town!
I had numerous issues with this hotel! First, when I arrived the front desk attendant was busy eating her dinner and didn't even say hello and I could barely understand her when she did speak. My room was ok, but I had to ask for toiletries and some of the furniture was chipped up, etc. There was no 'hot' breakfast available one morning. Several times I heard some pounding noises which I think were some renovations but I'm not sure. Then when checking out I was told about an additional charge of $149.37 which was a total mistake. They need to find people who have BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TO WORK AT FRONT DESK!

We stayed for 18 nights and payed extra to stay in a room with a kitchenette. The room was as listed, however the kitchenette, comprised of a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The hob was sealed over, there was no kettle, toaster, cutlery or crockery. The cleanliness of the room was poor and we had to complain twice. The TV did not work for 2 days.
On a positive note the hotel is ideally located near the beach, shops, amenities and in a very quiet location. The breakfast selection was good, with both a range of hot and cold food. Some staff could be more friendlier. Overall it was like staying in a average motel at hotel prices.
