Went there with a group and everyone enjoyed their meal. Several got the Eggplant Parm and thought it wonderful. My veal dish was very good. I recommend the place although the service was a little slow. The prices were also very reasonable.

Our meals were good, especially the fresh veggies & roasted potatoes. Service was good but not great. Waitress performed her duties but not overly friendly or smiling. Rest of staff removed plates & served dinners quickly & efficiently. Bleu cheese salad dressing awesome! Very crowded but not overly noisy. Reservations made same day so pleased we were able to be accommodated! Good but not great experience!

But the calamari was way over breaded and greasy, the veal dish which we both had was swimming in liquid that the over cooked vegetables provided. The over breaded veal was fair.

We were craving Italian food and decided to give Chianti South a try. We made a 6:30 p.m. reservation on a Saturday and got in with no issues. We waited about 3 mins to be seated which was perfectly acceptable. The place was packed and stayed mostly that way throughout our meal.

We started out with appetizers. The crab cakes were excellent, the best I've had in the Myrtle Beach area. The antipasto misto had some great items on it. Between our group we had the eggplant parmesan, broccoli rabe with penne, and the cream sauce with sausage. All meals were excellent. The bread was delicious. No complaints whatsoever about the food.

The service was slow and although I waited forever for a second glass of wine, the food was so good it made up for the slow service.

They should consider redoing their floors. The place is old, and where I sat every time somebody walked by the floor make a creaking sound and it felt like a possible earthquake was happening. If prone to motion sickness, take your meds!

If in a hurry, don't go to Chianti South. If you want to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner with authentic Italian, then this is your place. Definitely make reservations in advance!

Always a wonderful meal. The owner is friendly and accommodating. If you don't have a reservation, the bar makes great Martinis and is a good place to wait for a table. Gave friends a gift card from here and they were very pleased.
