First, must say the place is attractive. Talked with the barman a week ago and he convinced us to come for a meal. Bar is very pleasant. The server told us they did not have 4 or 5 items (the menu is pretty small to begin with). None of the group of 4 liked the food. My wife and I had prime rib and it was a poor excuse for prime rib. The other couple did not like their shrimp - small and not very many

went with a group for a birthday celebration.........waitress very sweet and friendly but reeked of cigarette smoke. After mentioning this, she apologized and was very sweet about it. Even though the service was okay, the food was horrible and the prime rib had no flavor whatsoever. If you ask for the early bird, be warned that they charge extra for bread and salad!!! ($6)

I walked in the door and saw the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013; so what followed was a little disappointing. The restaurant is nicely decorated and wait staff was very prompt & professional. Another good feature they have is an Early Dining Menu daily from 4:00pm – 6:00pm; however, we did dine off the regular dinner menu. The salads were good and I recommend their house green goddess dressing that has a hint of anchiove. The rolls were warm, but not as fresh as they could be - they were a little dry and chewy. Our main entrees were the Prime Rib (8 oz. slow roasted with au jus) and the Blackened Shrimp Penne Amore (comes with fresh shallots, garlic, cremini mushrooms, white wine, artichoke hearts, spinach, tomatoes and fresh herbs topped with asiago and parmesan cheese). The Blackened Shrimp Penne Amore was very good, the prime rib was the thinnest cut of prime rib I have ever seen - not impressed. Based on the overall experience and value, Twelve is only getting three.

Stopped in last night on a recommendation. Sat at the bar & the bartender Steve was very attentive & gave great menu selections when asked. I had the drunken mussels over linguini & my husband had the blackened shrimp penne amore. Started out with fresh crispy salads both of which had delicious house-made dressings, green goddess & citrus vinaigrette. The entrees were delicious. Bar was super comfortable to eat at. We will be back!

This restaurant was suggested for our evening meal although the person making the suggestion had not been there before. The main dining area is nicely furnished and presents a pleasing atmosphere. We were greeted immediately and seated right away as there were not many patrons at this dinner hour (~6:00 pm). The waiter indicated that this was the first time on the floor for him but he was attentive and when asked a question for which he did not know the answer he found out right away. Our order of broiled sea scallops was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Other entrees of shrimp scampi and of the 'blacken shrimp amore' were equally well done and scrumptious. The portions were relatively small but that would leave room for dessert. Although not inexpensive, this is a place to return to for an elegant meal.
