We just spent a week at Westgate. I was scared at first from reviews I read. We stayed in the North Tower and the villa was wonderful. The had fun things for the kids to do. We will be staying there again. Thanks Westgate! I will also like to thank the staff, they were GREAT!

Loved the private pool and right on the beach! Was able to walk to the boardwalk and enjoy it! Very nice! For families, this would be great because it's right across the street from a little amusement park. Rides for all ages, I rode the roller coaster and had a blast! Food was good too! Staff did everything to make the stay pleasant. Cory at the front desk took care of getting cabs, booking gambling cruise and tried to get a room next to the friends we met there. Extremely accomodating! The room was unvbelievable. Had a separate living area from the bedroom that overlooked the ocean! Complete with kitchen too! Bed was very comfortable, I usually have trouble sleeping the first few nights, not here, out every evening! Resort was continuously kept clean.

we had a very nice hotel room, we were able to be upgraded without a request. Just randomly selected and it was very nice. The room was excellent and very clean. Everything worked properly. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and the side view you could also see the street and activities. I loved the private balcony. The bed was very comfortable. All personnell was very helpful. We asked for an additional night and that was easily arranged at the same price. I like that we had a discount for being a neighboring state resident too.

Worst Hotel we've EVER stayed at. We were considering doing a timeshare so we decided to go ahead and book 5 nights at Westgate. 1st day---We had bags of clothes, cooler, food, etc and we asked if we could use a cart to carry everything into the room...and they told us "oh you have to be an owner" to use the cart...so we had to carry 3 bags, a cooler, bags of food up to the room ourselves. After paying our hotel room online...it said online that included everything...well as we got there they said its a new "mandatory" thing where they had to charge a 39 dollar occupancy tax additional to the bill. (other people who stayed there said they didn't have to pay that)...Also since we were not "owners" of the timeshare yet we were put in one of the most disgusting rooms ever facing towards family kingdom...you would think for 400 for 5 nights you would get a decent room.. 1st thing we saw about the room is black hair on the bathroom floor which was disgusting. The fridge did not work at all and the bed reeked of cheap cologne. We tried to overlook all this and begged for another room but they kept saying "they were full" and i know for a fact they had empty rooms left. 2nd night we were there....I have to take pain medication for my back and we left to go to the beach and I counted 23 pills before leaving for the beach and when I got back from the beach 9 pills were missing!! We called to complain through front desk and nobody got back to us...well a manager finally got back to us by almost the end of the week and said "oh well we could not figure out who may have taken them as our card reader isn't working" so NOBODY got fired or written up for this and my pain medication was STOLEN. Disgusted..we had to go to the timeshare presentation. We told the person up front that we were not purchasing a timeshare b/c of our experience and they kept saying "oh but the condo is different, blah blah blah" Oh by the way NONE of the icemakers worked we had to go to the bar to get ice. So all in all if you're not an "owner" you get treated like crap..and we had our check in hand ready to purchase a timeshare but after an experience like this we def. decided not to purchase...we will purchase a timeshare elsewhere with a different hotel. We were highly intrested but they had ruined it for us...Also the maids STEAL!! Hide your pills and valuables!! BEWARE!

We take security very seriously and we investigated the claims and allegations of the above and found no evidence what so ever to substantiate such claims. We understand that you wanted an upgrade to oceanfront and would have been happy to accommodate had we had the availability. There are no hidden fees and all charges that you were presented were clearly marked on your confirmation and paperwork provided prior to your arrival and at the time of your reservation.

Very disappointed, hotel very outdated, the elevators, halls and room had a moldy stale odor that they tried to mask with a Pena Colada spray, but the hotel and rooms appeared clean. The odor in the first room we had was a cross between mold, poop and Pena Colada, (the smell hit you at the door) it was enough to turn your stomach and the portable air purifier that they had there did not help so after dealing with odor for a couple of hours we couldn't take the odor anymore and request a room change. The next room was slightly better, still had the moldy stale Pena Colada smell and we took the air purifier from the first room which did help a little. Parking was horrible, you could not park in the hotel lot unless you were a time share owner and had to park across the street and cross 4 lane of traffic w/ no traffic light, crossing with children was a lot of fun :( Internet access was $5.00 a day and was difficult to use (no wifi). The hotel is on the beach, but the beach is a little difficult to access, the newer section of the resort was gorgeous with all ocean view rooms and the halls and elevator did not stink or have any odor and they had very nice multiple pools.
