Other than the parking lot being taped off with no signs with where to enter. The place looked OK upon check in, we left and went to dinner and came back later and discovered the TV remote was missing, called to ask for one they did bring one rather quickly but it never worked. The television would not even work with the buttons on the side or rear. The refrigerator did not work either, it was warm the entire time, When I called back a few times to ask for assistance with the television and fridge there was no answer at the desk I called three times. I even emailed the location on their website and never revived a response at all. so we will not be returning. its like after your checked in you are on your own which is great if your room has equipment that works. but there stuff was crap. and busted. they just want the $$ and could not care less about you after they get it.

Room Tip: stay somewhere else.

We stayed here one night prior to going on vacation. The hotel is only 10 min from the airport so it is very convenient. They had just done some renovations so it was clean and looked refreshed. It was fairly noisy in the am with a good bit of construction workers staying there and working early hours. Otherwise, the staff was nice, the room was clean and the location was convenient to the airport & 26/526. Although we wouldn’t pick this spot for a vacation, we’d definitely stay here again when traveling from the Charleston airport.

Wyndham bought this Hampton Inn property in late 2017 but it is no where near ready for use. The Hampton Inn name is still on the side of the building even though it has been five months. We went there mainly because it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight. In addition, they offered free parking while we were gone and a free shuttle to and from the airport. To our surprise, they added a $10 charge for parking at the hotel while we were gone. When we were to leave, the 6:00 am shuttle was cancelled and we had to get an Uber ride - which we had to pay for. The reason for no shuttle was that the driver never showed up. When we returned from our trip, we called to be picked up at the airport and were informed that the shuttle had been cancelled because they had totaled the vehicle while we were gone. Again, we had to use Uber. Again, we had to pay for this. BTW, there are very few cabs running near the airport any more so be sure you have Uber or Lyft apps on your phone. When we got back to the hotel, we found our car had been wrapped in plastic because they were painting outside. This was a surprise to us since there was no mention of this when we left our car there and told them we would be back on Monday, the day of the painting. Fortunately, we have yet to find any signs of new paint on or car. Clearly, the now-not-so-new owners have a lot to do to get this hotel ready for normal business operations. I suggest you avoid this place until they show they are ready for prime time. The only savings grace was that the employees were pleasant and tried to help.

Rooms overall were acceptable. Not pleased with the late checking due to not cleaned rooms. Out of 4 floors ice machines only one on the se one floor was serviceable.
