Located in Market Square, it's easy to miss Stock & Barrel. Look for it next to Blue Coast Grill on Wall Street. The wait is worth it or grab a seat at the bar. There's almost 50 bourbons to choose from. They didn't have Pappy Van Winkle but had a number of 12+ year bourbons to choose from. The super-sized burger was stacked high and topped with the best bacon in the world. Wear your stretchy pants. We can't wait to go back!

We've heard a lot about this place and how they had the best hamburgers so we went to give it a try. We were told 1 1/2 - 2 hour wait but they text you when your table is ready and it's in Market Square so my wife said she wanted to do it. We only waited about 35 min. sat at a small table with our son and it's kind of loud in there. My wife and I had hamburgers and onion rings our son had hamburger and mac & cheese. The onion rings were the best I've had in the area but not the hamburger, it was overcooked and dry, nothing special at all and for the price I was expecting something better. This place was a disappointment to me and my wife both. Don't think we'll be going back. Service was good though!

Food was very good especially fried green tomatoes and burgers.Inside the chairs at the tables are not very comfortable. Sitting at bar is better if it's just two of you.Drinks are good . So is food.

Recently went for lunch at stock and barrel. I was very impressed with the food. This is a mainly burger place, but boy do they do it right! Cool atmosphere with a modern look, and paintings including a few homages to The Big Lebowski. The wait staff were friendly and suggested their most popular burger, The Hurt Locker, which has pimiento cheese, Brenton's bacon and a fried green tomato. I gave it a go and was not disappointed! By far the best thing, however, was the Opa! Appetizer. A large, thick slice of feta, deep fried drizzled in honey and served with sourdough bread chunks. It was delicious they are also known for their bourbon but it was early and none of our table tried it. Definitely worth a visit!

Not sure how this restaurant got their picture in the magazine for having the best fries in Tennessee, must be the spit in the food. Seriously, the kitchen staff is eating food at the same time yours is being prepared. That said, think about all the different tastes of spit that each person has on their hands that has touched your food. Not a good restaurant to eat at if you don't want to get sick.
