Description: We set out to provide a varied menu with excellent quality meat and a great selection of fresh, local fish. It is reasonably priced and cooked to order, and accompanied by competitively priced wines and all served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are currently open from Wednesday to Saturday for dinner only from 6:00 pm. Booking is highly advised and essential on a Saturday. We will open at lunchtime for pre-booked private parties (20+) and celebrations and will bespoke a Menu on request.

Our fourth visit in four years, unfortunately without knowing it has changed hands. Our starters were good although we had to ask for bread with the soup although it was advertised as served with bread & Jersey butter.
The mains were a disaster. The pasta dish was overflowing the dish and served with far too much rocket and parmesan. The liver dish was served with an excessive amount of jus which resulted in the potatoes & cabbage being a soggy unappetising mess. Probably the most disappointing part of this was the reaction of the management. There was no apology or understanding of our complaints. In fact we were told they had an excellent chef and would not apologise. They were downright rude.
This was the worst meal ever in a restaurant.

Thank Janet D

I think this is a hidden gem, good service, nice wine selection, and I found the food of very high quality. Would recommend

The menu is a mix of cultures - Cajun, Asian, French ... lots to choose from. We all enjoyed fresh local fish and enjoyed it - perfectly prepared and not overly complex sauces. The service was very personal and attentive - I'll return.

Can’t understand the recent negative reviews. Staff were so attentive and food was excellent. The scallop and king prawn skewer was perfectly cooked and the mussels were the best my husband had tasted. We would definitely return. Thank you Andrew for a delicious meal.

Was quite disappointed.. Sitting very cheek to jowl. A longish wait to order and the be served. Both our meals were very disappointing with my plaice over cooked and quite tasteless. Would not go back.
