“Expensive But You Get What You Pay For”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2012

Wonderful experience but a little pricey.
We stayed a while ago now and enjoyed the beautiful grounds and went clay shooting
This was very well organised and safe.
The Breakfast was great and the main restaurant service and food exemplary.
I would recommend for a special occasion if your pockets are deep.
You will remember your stay for a long time.

Room Tip: Get a back view over the grounds it's great

One night stay wiith my partner. The location is stunning, the views are breath taking. The building is very well looked after. Lovely swimming pool, rather small gym. We went for the "castle classic" room which we found pleasant and confortable even though it was rather small.
The staff was plesant, professional and very helpful. All in all we loved our short break and we are looking forward to return.

We stayed at the property for two nights as part of a team event and even as hoteliers we were amazed by this place. The property itself is a very impressive castle hotel set in a stunning countryside location overlooking a championship golf course (wish we couldhave played). The service is first class and refreshingly relaxed for a castle hotel of this caliber. The activities on offer looked amazing which clearly also makes this a great location for couples and families. The rooms and bathrooms were in great condition, much much better than any castle hotel I have stayed at before.

The general manager Jeremy Rata deserves a special mention, he is the heart and soul of the place, very approachable and full of good insider ideas of what to do in the region. The first thing anyone visiting this place should definitely do is ask for Jeremy - he'll sort you out with the most amazing insider tips!

Room Tip: Ask Jeremy - he'll show you the different room types personally!!

Stayed in one of the lodges everything superb but the food is questionable. It wasn't awful but the anemiac steak in the brasserie isn't worth the money. They are so close on getting it there but it's not . Ate in both restaurants excellent service that saves it.That aside it's a great place and Frederico is a credit along with all the staff who pamper you.I would go back but the food could do with a little tweaking considering the prices.Don't let that put you off at all though please

Stayed at the hotel as part of a wedding party, the whole event was expertly organised and great fun, food and drink were amazing and the room could not be faulted. Thank you

Room Tip: We stayed in the Paton Nap which had a little side room for our son - perfect.
