We had dinner for 20 . It was pre booked but they managed to get the orders wrong . I had the wrong starter and then had to wait until everyone had almost finished before my fish was served. They did give me a huge cheese board I assume as an apology for the delay and were apologetic . It was worth waiting for but not ideal. The facilities were wonderful and the staff attentive.

Chose Triverton because it was 1/2 point between Cornwall and the Cotswalds. Lucky us that we chose the Hartnoll!
We were very well treated at this beautiful property. From hotel reception and the staff to Nelson in the dining room -- the beautiful conservatory -- who made sure we had a most delicious dinner.
The wonderful English breakfast which was included with our spacious spotlessly clean room, sent us on our way but not before we took photos of the glorious grounds. Thank you Hartnoll!

An overnight stopover en route. Lovely Hotel with very comfy large room and good facilities. A very warm welcome and staff all very kind and helpful. Evening meal was really quite poor compared with the reviews this establishment has on line, sufficient to wonder whether the chef was on holiday ! Halibut completely bone dry, lamb cutlet "special" really uninteresting and no dressing , sauce or similar. English breakfast was pleasant.

Came here for a one night stopover,we chose two cosy double rooms 8 and 9 ,unfortunately these both were in close proximity to the extractor shaft for the kitchens, extremely noisy at night and early mornings6am onwards.the decor throughout the hotel is very pleasing as was the rooms, comfy beds classic fittings and everything you could want, the usual tea, coffee eta, iron and board, fan, heater, hairdryer phone tv and radio alarm,CD player.what let's this establishment down was the very dry and a little tough burger that two of us chose, my sister in law loved her liver dish.puds were exceptional if rather pricey, mine was over £8.breakfast the next day was dry and tough bacon, rock hard fried bread and thinly sliced black pudding, toast was doughy ,as was the pastries.i think the chefs need to address these issues,we did encounter problems with little flies in the conservatory eating area with many dead on the table and being flicked off saucers by the waitress.uncovered butter and preserves made us very wary.i HATE FLYS........

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 8 and 9 .especially 8as th noise levels are excessive also it us a small room with no additional chairs.room 9 has 2 easy cgars

Room was a nice size, view from the room was over the roof so nothing exciting out the window but inside it was clean if some of the furniture was a bit marked but shower room was immaculate, staff were very friendly, overall a good stay would use again
