I'd booked a table over three weeks ago for a group of 11 of us to celebrate a family birthday. Unfortunately the online system didn't allow bookings so large and I had to book via telephone. When we arrived today we were abruptly told there wasn't a reservation. On checking, the member of staff discovered our booking had been put in 2 days earlier. There was no availability for us, which wasn't surprising on a Saturday evening for such a large group, but this has meant we've been left with no where to celebrate (and I can guarantee I requested the correct date when I booked, given it is a birthday). Very disappointed that staff are unable to take a phone booking correctly. Perhaps their online system should allow larger bookings, or at the very least offer email confirmation of phone bookings so that customers can check that staff have booked them in correctly.
