Visited here for a quick lunch.

Soup and bread was pretty bland, butter was rock hard.

Humous and roasted veg sandwich tasted of very little and the rocky road was just a little strange.

All in all a pretty disappointing visit, which was pretty expensive for what was essentially a takeaway.

Dropped in for a mid morning latte and hot chocolate and cake
Cafe is still all outdoor tables and serving through a hatch .
We were lucky the rain stayed off ,there were a steady trickle of people coming in and taking coffee for their walks with Maipsie Den not far away . The shop itself is open a with a fine selection of organic vegetables and Organic based food inside

Update on my partly negative review (Jan 21). Been back twice since then. On both occasions the soup was delicious.

We had a delicious dhal curry with flatbreads along with our cake and coffees, all just lovely.
Yes due to lockdown and all the safety precautions that HAVE to be in place the menu is limited rather than the great choices in normal times. Staff were friendly and on teh ball.
Love Pillars!

Was once my favourite cafe but taken to expansion in price and contacting size of drinks. Food shop also much more expensive than before the virus came. Staff no longer happy and welcoming.
