Popped in here for morning coffee and cake. I had a piece of chocolate sponge and my husband had millionaires shortbread, both delicious and the decaf coffee was also very good. Clean, welcoming staff, several people having lunch.

Came for lunch (and then dinner the next night) during recent stay at Crieff Hydro. Two adults and two children aged 13 and 10. Food imaginative, fresh, fun, very high standard - good selection and love the fact you can opt for 7 or 11" pizzas, and also some other dishes in a choice of two sizes. Good service (esp from owner himself) although a slightly dreary waiter on the Thursday night! He could have smiled more but the food and everything else made up for it. Will absolutely return and have already recommended to others. A great place to have in town to complement what the Hydro offers and much, much better food!!!!!

We had a late lunch one weekday. It was very friendly, laid back yet professional and the food was superb. The atmosphere was relaxing some people there for coffee others lunching some hanging out for a long chat. A lovely experience.

Had dinner here a couple of times while staying at the Hydro. It was very busy. The cafe/restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, choice of different seating from booths to regular and cafe tables. Nice decor. The food was delicious, high quality and freshly cooked (think they have an excellent chef). Good service. Very busy each time we went there (tue, wed evening). It was good for people on a budget or pushing the boat out. You can buy half portions of the main dishes for £5, which is fantastic either if you are not that hungry and want a snack at lunch or want to buy more than one course etc. Personally I usually get bored when eating Italian dishes in a restaurant because you get one large plate of the same stuff. Here we ordered a 2 or 3 different mains and a 2/3 side dishes and shared. One night we even had a mini pizza as a starter it was delicious but beware these are proper italian pizzas so the crust is very thin - which I like but some people prefer the American style thick crust pizza. Anyway by going there a couple of nights we managed to try a lot of different stuff on the menu. All were delicious. I particularly recommend the truffled wedges and the brusetta topped with peppers and cherry tomatoes. I also liked the salmon and the prawns while my mum found the prawns and mushroom risotto amazing. Although we didn't have the burgers they looked delicious and are made with a brioche bun which I think is nicer than a regular burger bun. Would have preferred a more varied choice of desserts (tiramsu, limencello etc), but perhaps this changes from time to time. I will certainly eat there next time I am in the area. And if you like Italian food I would highly recommend it.
