We had a wonderful experience in the bar side of this pub. Although it was August, there was a chill in the air and the fire was going. There was paneling everywhere (even the ceiling), and a collection of different chairs and tables. One orders at the bar and they bring the food to your table. My wife had their own gin, which was good enough for her to buy a bottle to bring home! She had a terrific mushroom fettuccini and I had venison sausages on mashed. Delicious! Definitely worth a visit. Not fine dining, but five stars on the pub scale!

I am not sure I would go out of my way to come here but if you are close by, or want to hear the evenings it is live, it is worth a visit. This pub is part of the Eilean Armain Hotel. The limited menu offers fresh meals – among the four of us we had venison burgers and tomato basil soup, very well prepared. The whisky selection is pretty good – and try the one associated with the bar and the hotel, the Poit Dhub 12 year old, I collect single malts as a hobby and this is excellent and very inexpensive for the quality. The pub is small – maybe a dozen tables – cozy and both staff and the customers very friendly.

During our weekend stay on Skye we stopped here to grab a bite to eat after a long day out exploring.

We had their venison burger and fish and chips. Both meals were of good quality and tasted great. Service was fast and friendly.

It offers beautiful views from their outside seating area.

A nice local pub where, as happens elsewhere, the locals are being crowded out by tourists. It still retains it warm atmosphere, however, and very helpful and friendly staff. The food is hearty pub fare with a gourmet twist, and fresh as can be. I highly recommend the langoustines or scallops when they have them, the super crispy fish & chips, venison burgers, and the abundance of small plates, each unique and beautifully composed. The desserts really shine. We get there early for dinner (5:30) in order to get a table, but people are coming and going all the time. We eat there just about every night when we're on Sleat, and we've eaten at all the restaurants on the peninsula. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the restuarant in the hotel was closed so we ate here. I am afraid to say it wasn't the best. The staff didn't have much knowledge regarding gluten free choices and we had to explain what was required. I had the roast pork but the food was lukewarm. We ate else where the next night.
