We had a wonderful experience in the bar side of this pub. Although it was August, there was a chill in the air and the fire was going. There was paneling everywhere (even the ceiling), and a collection of different chairs and tables. One orders at the bar and they bring the food to your table. My wife had their own gin, which was good enough for her to buy a bottle to bring home! She had a terrific mushroom fettuccini and I had venison sausages on mashed. Delicious! Definitely worth a visit. Not fine dining, but five stars on the pub scale!
