What a stunning location on the banks of Loch Awe and we loved our stay at the Taychreggan Hotel. The hotel has real character, with so many rooms off the bar to relax in. We had our evening meal in the Faodail restaurant on the first night and Ghillies Bar on the second night of our stay. The food was delicious and our compliments to the chef. The breakfast was excellent too with a choice of cereals, pastries and something hot from an extensive menu. We were fortunate to have a window seat looking out over the water & hills at breakfast, just as our room had the same view. Inspiring. Our room was spacious, the furniture fitted in with the character of the hotel, the shower was fast and hot. The bar had seasonal drinks including mulled wine and Christmas champagne cocktails which was a nice touch. The staff were really friendly and went out their way to do anything they could to help us. We really appreciated their help with sorting a problem we had with tyre pressure, with the closest garage miles away. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, it was ideal for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. We could also imagine in the summer months it would be brilliant to spend time in the grounds, sitting around the firepits, looking out over the water at sunset. Thank you and best wishes to all at Taychreggan.

Many thanks for your lovely review. I am glad that you got home safe and sound. As we start to think about our break over the festive holidays we also take the time to reflect on the year that was and I have to say that 2021 has been a wonderful year for us all and we have enjoyed the opportunity to offer everyone our hospitality.
Maybe see you for those firepit nights next year.
Cheers.

Did not want to leave. First visit but definitely not the last. We had a junior suite, the bathroom had a heated floor and a roll top bath, room was huge and a wash basin each! Bed was so comfy. View over the Loch was superb.

Food is amazing, a special mention for the chef who did it all by himself.

Thank you so much to Sandy and the rest of the staff, they did you proud Michelle.

Room tip: Junior suites are fantastic.

Words cannot truly describe the hotel and our stay; absolutely wonderful place with fantastic views of Loch Awe. The staff were the best we have come across on our many travels. Michelle has a wonderful team who work so well together and provide a superb service. Special mention to Jomira, Lisa, Cara and Alastair who looked after us so well. In fact all the staff were superb. The food was amazing in both the restaurant and bar. Breakfast was one of the best we have had.... wonderful.

If you are looking to relax and get away from the humdrum this is the place for you. The views are sensational; we could have stayed there forever.

Hope to visit next year during the summer and enjoy many drinks by the fire pits overlooking the loch.

Thanks to everyone for making our stay one of the very best.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review.

I must admit that those that get the chance to sit by the firepits say that it creates a very magical experience for them - so lets see if we can manage that the next time you stay.

See you 2022.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Tay Creggan hotel. Stunning location and exceptional service. Lovely little personal touches make staying here so enjoyable.
Michelle and her team work so hard to make guests feel at home. We were staying to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and when I mentioned this at the time of booking Michelle immediately offered us a free upgrade to a Junior Suite. On arrival we loved our suite with incredible views over the Loch and grounds. Then to discover on checking out that Michelle had given us our wine on the evening of our anniversary dinner complimentary was such a kind additional touch on top of our upgrade! We will definitely be back and can’t praise everyone and everything highly enough.

Room tip: Book early as the hotel was fully boooked throughout our stay and staff advised already filling up for next year!

Carol,

It is always a delight to see our guests be able make the very most of their stay with us. I think the fact that we got the firepits lit late Saturday afternoon was especially nice and 'romantic' to sit by and watch the last of the sunshine. Jamie I am sure will agree that we are a VERY romantic hotel and I am glad that he and the other gents were able to keep the fires burning for a few hours even with the help from the ladies around them - ha ha.
See you for another break maybe in 2022.
