Stayed here on the last night of a short driving tour of Scotland with our friend from Florida. Our night here was better than staying in a five star hotel.
Deb and Ian treat you like old friends from the minute you walk in, til the minute you leave, and the three Cairn terriers, Barry, Davy and wee Archie are just adorable.
The location is superb, with long distance views, and alpacas in the back yard. The house has been beautifully refurbished and modernised, providing spacious and homely accomodation. The rooms and bathrooms are completely up to date and come with everything you need for your stay. The guests' lounge is a sitting room you might have at home with a real fire, tv, stereo and lots of cds and dvds.
We were lucky enough to dine in, which was a real treat. Ian's chicken and mushroom pie, followed by raspberry crumble was to die for, and far better food than you could get in many expensive city retaurants. Breakfast was top notch, and set us up for the day.
The attention to detail and, above all, the genuine friendlyness of Deb and Ian make this the best guest house you could ever wish for.
It is worth going out of your way to stay in Ewich House.More
