My husband, my dog and I set out to walk the WHW, and on the first day my husband badly hurt his back. We managed to get a doctor's appointment in Milngavie and were told there was no way we'd be hiking or camping as planned. In a panic and feeling really depressed about this change in plans, we scrambled to find a nearby B&B that would take us and our dog, and stumbled upon Frances and David.
We could not have been luckier. I can only echo what others have said: staying with the Landers is more like visiting family than staying at a B&B. They are both such warm, kind, lovely people, and we were so in need of it! Their home felt like a sanctuary, with a beautiful garden to enjoy, delicious breakfasts and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed lovely long chats with them, had a wonderful accordion recital from David, and Frances personally helped us book the rest of our accommodation. These two are absolute gems and staying with them was the highlight of our trip... do not hesitate to stay with them. We will definitely be back (hopefully to finish the WHW as well!)
Thanks so much Frances and David. xxxMore
