The food was good, but nothing special. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would have no problem coming back.

Nothing special, but not bad. The ribs and the dry rub were very good. No sauce provided in my takeout, though. Bread was simply a hamburger bun half. The sides were okay: beans, potato salad, and cold fries.
That's what the sign above the door says., but I don't think it's Memphis best and may not have been since 1952. They have a $10 sampler plate special and I had the ribs pulled pork and brisket. It was all average-at-best. Much better places in and around Memphis than this one.
All you hear is that Memphis is famous for BBQ...well if this was famous I prefer not famous! The brisket tasted as if it had been wrapped in aluminum foil and baked in the oven. They also smothered it with sauce and that didn't do it any justice. The best thing about this meal was the fries and that is sad!!! If you want the best brisket you will ever put in your mouth, travel to Palatka, FL and eat at Hawg Wash BBQ Joint. They have the awards to prove it! There are ribbons and trophies all around the restaurant and it is the absolute best brisket I have ever eaten in my life!!!
The staff were nice. The BBQ was fair. Our meats were served cold. LIke they were frozen and put in a microwave to thaw but didn't quite get all the way thawed. The flavor was okay but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The sweet potato fries were good. The potato salad wasn't bad either. If you want Memphis BBQ it's best to go somewhere else. If you are in the area and are just hungry this place will work.
