They let anyone in ne it could be a fun thing to see, but to many people. They also do it at 11AM, during check out, so it makes this difficult for sure.

We were present for the 5pm exit of the ducks from the fountain. The room was bustling and waitresses were busy serving drink orders to those sitting at tables around the fountain. At 445 the duck master gave a background talk on the event. The ducks just swam around, occasionally squawking at one another. The "event" lasted but 2 or 3 minutes. The duck master had them go down a portable staircase and walk to an open elevator. Three ducks came back out of the elevator and were promptly ushered back inside. The onlookers seemed thrilled by the experience. I watched the proceedings from the balcony on the second floor.

We went to the Peabody Hotel to specifically see the march of the ducks. This had a narrator who gave historical background on how this march got started. The Peabody Hotel is beautiful & worth a look by itself, but the march of the ducks from the elevator to the fountain was so much fun!!

Five ducks waddle to a fountain they know provides food. Twice a day. Money maker for the Peabody. So many other things to do in Memphis!!!

Visited the Peabody Hotel and knew that the ducks came down at a certain time in an elevator and swam in the fountain in the center of the lobby and later left and spent the night on the roof in a plush duck palace.
