I recently visited this hotel for business reasons and was shown around it. It has been closed for nearly two years.

Despite needing a lick of exterior paint and being rather overgrown I was pleasantly surprised by the good condition of the interior, which is a bit like the Marie Celeste, as if it had been in day to day use just yesterday!

Although closed to the public it has a resident owner who has moved back in to maintain it and oversee repairs. Sadly there was no stock whatsoever on the premises, so I couldn't have a drink or bite to eat.

Contrary to local rumours all the walls and ceilings were in good shape, one having been recently repaired. I was also assured a roofer has been booked to replace a few slates dislodged by the high winds.

I was told the hotel is being chased by several buyers wishing to develop it. Let's just hope this
nice building's exterior is put back into shape by the developer.

Room Tip: This hotel is currently closed and about to be redeveloped.

Has now been closed for nearly 2 years. After being abandoned overnight initially, it must have had food and drink left there for getting on 2 years, with slates off roof and collapsed ceilings it must be full of all sorts of vermin by now.
Its a disgrace to Tywyn and something needs doing about it.

Now shut up and closed so not able to comment further on any aspect of the interior. What else can one say? Just hope that some one or some group with inspiration, commitment and deep pockets can bring it back to life

From the moment you walk in you want to walk out! It it has shocking smell, the decour is dated (but not in a good way) and you cant even concider playing on the pool table!!! I would rather drink a can of carling than get pint from the pump in this place!

Never struck me as correct vocation for the hosts.
Premises smell damp, bar mats always dripping and stinking of stale beer (like vinegar).
Dirty, nose picking on bar duty despite being told about it. Just not really interested in running the establishment as a viable business at all. Always short of stock, with the excuse 'it will be in tomorrow', or on next delivery lorry.
Dissappeared from Tywyn in early October, with no prior notification to anybody of their plans.
This building should be the flagship of the town but now lies empty and apparently abandoned.
