We were staying in a cottage near to Knighton and we had a walk around the town and we decided to call into The Horse and Jockey pub for an evening meal, we were a party of 6 adults and 2 children, the pub restaurant was quiet and we were shown to a table and were quickly served with drinks, we ordered our food which was served within about 20-30 minutes, all the meals were very tasty and good potions, fishcakes were very nice, everyone enjoyed their meals, this is a very nice pub and restaurant, staff very attentive friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely family lunch here. There were 6 of us and we all had something different. All our meals were very nice. Staff were great. Will definitely come here again next time we're in Knighton.

We phoned at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon to see if they could accommodate a party of ten for that evening, they could have easily said they were too busy, but they shuffled things around for us and made the booking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding and the at the end, the staff were more than happy to do individual bills. This was a real lucky find and if we are in the area again, (visit to Phil Price Rally School), The Horse and Jockey will now be a definite dinner venue. Many thanks.

Could not find many good places to eat in Knighton but was recommended to try the The Horse and Jockey.
What a great choice. We ate in the "lounge bar" the first night which was busy in a nice way. The meal was very good and the "real ale" kept really well.
The pub is a little like a tardis and at the end of the courtyard we discovered the actual restaurant part. So that is where we ate on our second night. Great choice. Very nicely done out comfortable but welcoming. Again food was good, real ale available and the staff were just so friendly.
The pub looks attractive, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the food whilst lacking a choice and not gastro was good and they served 3 reals - ideal what more can you want.
