* Walking distance to the main strip of shops, restaurants and cafes and across the road from the Flinders pub and a 10-15 minute walk to the Flinders Pier. Other beaches are a short drive away.
* Got a phone call before I arrived and was upgraded to a bigger room, (queen bed and 2 singles) so we would have "more room." Thank you!
* The room was quite spacious, with plenty of bench space to put your things and also included a small outdoor area with a table and chairs.
* The room had a flat screen tv, mini fridge with milk, coffee, tea, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, plates/bowls, air conditioning, small portable heater, iron, hair dryer and bathroom amenities including plenty of towels.
* The fixtures and decor are from the 80's, but the room is very clean, the staff are very friendly, helpful and very willing to accommodate you.
* There is an indoor pool with a spa and a sauna, all of which were very clean and in working order.
* There is free wifi in the reception and if you are staying in the rooms next to reception, I am sure they would connect in the room (room 1).
* The motel has its own car park with ample parking.
* This is affordable, clean, traditional accommodation and would suit people with children.
* My only real con is the room is dim, even with all the lights on.

Room Tip: Try getting room 1, as it's right next door to reception and will probably connect to the wifi.

Was good for what we wanted, nothing fancy, clean and nice.. Not an overly expensive one night stay. The room was good although a bit out dated and it had a little backyard as well which was nice. The pool was okay although a little cold the spa could of been a it hotter as well. Close to the hot springs where we spent the day. Across the road is the resteraunt. We went on Valentine's Day for dinner it was the best dinner we had ever had we were happy to pay the price! Very upper class but worth the amount we paid. Walking distance from our room. Overall a great weekend on a budget stay away from home for valentines weekend.

In the centre of Flinders. Tired and in need of a handyman work over. But clean and tidy, comfortable bed and good shower, I do wish shower curtains were banned in favour of screens however. My room was large with a good amount of seating. The heating was via a noisy heat pump, it also worked.

I stayed at Flinders Cove Motor Inn recently while passing through Flinders with my father. Being the off-season we were able to secure a room at the last minute, and the receptionist was kind enough to upgrade us to a family room so we had a bit more space.
The staff were very friendly and nobody panicked when we were a bit late checking out which was kind since we are not morning people. ;).

Pros - The room was well furnished, quite retro, slightly dated with exposed brick walls all around, 80's style, very clean, beds were very comfortable, well-equipped, plenty of towels, nice hot shower, we had no complaints. There was a swimming pool but we didn't use it. Plentiful car-parking. Room was quite and warm, we both slept like logs.

Cons - Not much really. Little bits. Dad was slightly put out that housekeeping only left one bar of mini-soap but I keep telling him he needs to carry toiletries around like a normal person. The lighting in the room was dim - with all of the lights on (one side of room was lit solely by a bed-head light) Dad was struggling to see his newspaper while sitting on his bed. Because the walls are dark with the brick, some extra lamps (or down-lights the next time a reno is done) would probably be a help. But not really a biggie.

Overall - perfectly fine. We'd happily stay again. It's not a wow-factor place, but it's a solid, clean, well-maintained motor-inn at a very good price and I would be extremely happy to recommend it and its friendly staff.

In all honesty this hotel was great for us a family of 5 it is not often you can get 2 spacious nights for $340 Yes stuck in the 80's but warm comfortable, space for kids, the only down side was the pool was not working which was a massive down side for the kids and will now cost us on way home at public pools as they were so looking forward to it, otherwise seriously great location and great atmosphere
