I've stayed at Kangaroo ridge three times in recent years. The cabins are lovely and I enjoy the view over the valley. The location is terrific if you're interested in wine and fine dining.

Olga and John were welcoming and very helpful. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing few nights away.

Room Tip: Either cabin is fine, I've stayed in both and the design is the same.

Our most recent stay was early June 2017 for 3 nights. We have stayed here for 3-4 nights every year for 5 years- sometimes twice a year. Olga and John keep providing the panoramic views, the comfort, relaxation, the roos, a variety of native birds, a good nights sleep and breakfast hampers. We were delighted to spot a family group of deer on our most recent visit. Everything two 70 year olds need.

But we also get to satisfy a variety of our culinary and recreational interests. The Yarra Valley has a lot of what we like. We have joined 6 wine clubs after winery surveys; tasted the products at the breweries and the gin distillery; tried and bought cheeses, pasta and sauces, and the best seeded sourdough anywhere. We have also ridden the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail.

We plan many more visits.

Beautiful place to get away from the busy life, secluded with nature and beautiful views.
I booked this place with a weeks notice beautiful peaceful place,
Only missing the tiniest of touches
Eg got the Bbq pack and got four little sausages and 2 steaks for $12 from the local shops, and also flowers and chocolates (Ferraro rochers)in a box.
I thought John and Olga might have got some chocolates from the chocaletrie down the road.bothe packs $50 each wouldn't recommend unless improved.Only wiring this because of how other packs have been done at other places we have stayed at.
Like I said small touches but would recommend this place to everybody helpful people beautiful place close to Healsville and just a great little getaway from the busy life of family and work.
Thank you
John and Olga

This was our 4th overnight stay to Kangaroo Ridge cabins, just a 15min drive out of Healesville Vic. Its a mountain retreat on a private property overlooking a valley of farms and wineries. When you book you have your choice of one of two cabins but it doesn't matter which one you choose as they have the same floor plan, queen bed, kitchen, wood fire, bathroom with shower and corner spa with views to the valley below from the tub!
You can go for a walk over the property and feed the ducks, horses and even spot the kangaroos feeding with wild deer as we did this trip. One of the things we love is that it feels so secluded from the other cabin as you can't even see it even know its about 50mtrs away.
When we arrived John (Host) had filled the basket with plenty of fire wood and there was cheese, olives and crackers awaiting us with fresh eggs, bread, tomatoes and bacon for the morning.
We highly recommend staying here for some much need R & R or for that romantic night.

Room Tip: Couldn't get any more of a romantic spot.
