The best experience we had in area by far! Owner and front of the house stuff are so welcoming and friendly! Huge local and Australian wine selection and knowledge about wines from Owner! Menu has really good selection of verity of food! 2 chefs in kitchen doing absolutely magnificent job! Inglewood Fillet Mignon was superb as it was lamb with Australian native herbs! Beatroot salad was unbelievable surprise how good it was as beef tataki and king fish carpaccio!! Sides are as good as rest of menu! Zucchini chips, polenta chips black bean salad and roast potatoes we love all! We end up having chat to head chef and his knowledge of food from all around world was surprisingly good as we could see on his menu!! Well done and we will be definitely going back!!!!

It all felt rather amateurish, the front of house manager whilst unfailingly polite she spent a long time telling us what was unavailable on the menu.

The menu which was simply printed on a word processor should not of been presented with 4 or 5 items unavailable.

Similarly the drinks where in the spirits there was a lack of premium scotch or vodkas.

One item missing on the food menu was polenta chips, with the excuse Chefs been too busy to make them, for goodness sake they take about 6-8 minutes of active time.

The steak I was served with a request for rare came out at best medium maybe over.

The chef when he did a walk around the dining room said he thought the steak was a bit short of medium but agreed not rare.

The real issue I had was the steak was so thin it could never have been cooked rare, and I should of been advised rare is not available.

My entree of Ceviche of kingfish was very good, my wife's salmon was fine her desert overly sweet.

I can see what they are trying to do here, but the front of house lacks the polish to carry it off and the kitchen lack skill and insight (with the exception of the chef who did the entree)

Should at the price be better but I forgot the old adage of don't done in restaurants with a view, the view is lovely.

Your feedback has been noted. You may not be aware but it is a government requirement that menus should be either laminated and disinfected after each use, or single-use paper menus disposed of after each use. We would love to use our professional menu folders but unfortunately this is not allowed.

We have just released our new menu recently and in the first week not all items will be available which is completely understandable. Polenta chips would certainly not be a priority in the first few days of the menu. We have one full time chef so his focus would be on the more complex new dishes.

We are a regional cellar door so our focus is not on spirits but on showcasing the 39 Macedon Ranges wineries we have in stock. We also focus on the local artisan gins of the region. We have several quality whiskies on our beverage list. Our focus as always is to have amazing food and wonderful wines. The view just happens to be part of the environment. Our prices are published on our website and reflect the price of premium ingredients and our focus on modern fine dining.

Welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff. Meal service a little slow, especially as restaurant was nowhere near capacity. Be prepared to spend $100 / person (foor + drink) as the wine is expensive.

Thank you for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your visit. Our wines start at $35 per bottle and prices reflect the cost of small family produced artisan wines of the Macedon Ranges and not many will be found in mainstream outlets. Two courses are around $65 and wines by the glass are around $9-$15. Our prices are published on our website. Thank you for your visit.

Hi, we had such a lovely evening having dinner on the balcony of this exceptionally located restaurant. The entry of short shell crab was delicious. The $50,- steak was overcooked and/or not fresh. I had to remind myself how a rib eye can taste at home. The wines start at $50,- a bottle and the $50,- steak doesn't come with anything but the delicious (!) bell pepper bed and one piece of beautifully wok fried vegetable, so you have to order an 18 side dish, which are the thinly sliced fresh pattatoe that are shortly fried (nice!). So all in all the let down was that the $50 steak wasn't good, and I should have given them a chance to improve by handing it back, but this in combination with the high overall process and the fact that it didn't come with any bread and butter to start with, it left the impression that this restaurant is not doing too well and is forced to engage in pricing practices to make ends meet. But, on a Thursday evening there were quite a few guests, so may be it is just greed and sub par hospitality.

Your feedback has been noted. Our Inglewood Eye Fillet is a premium steak and one of the best in Victoria. It is well priced for this reason. It came with Chimichurri sauce and broccolini at the time you dined. We would certainly have replaced your steak if you had let us know at the time that you were not happy with it. We offer artisan bread rolls and butter if requested.

Our wines start at $35 per bottle. In addition, we have a list of wines by the glass that are excellent value ranging from $9 to $15. We price our wines fairly and offer a takeaway service at the winery cellar door price. Your insult about us not doing well, being greedy and having sub-par hospitality is disappointing. We are known for our warm welcome and hospitality. Our prices are fair and reflect the price of ingredients and running costs. Your lack of awareness of the challenges faced by all hospitality businesses at this difficult time is disheartening.

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff on all aspects of the menu and wine list. Attentive without being overbearing. Possibly the best steak we have had in a long time.
