Can highly recommend Bourkies. Top place to call into.Service was prompt and friendly even tho it was busy. Pie and pastie was delicious, coffee was fabulous but highlight was their famous vanilla slice. Awesome...filling oozes out so make sure you have a serviette close by after eating. Nice eating area with an automated bakery scene which pleases all when button is pushed. Can imagine there may be a wait on weekends judging how popular it was on a Wednesday. Well done to staff will be back

Called into the bakery on a recommendation from another shop owner, I must say I was disappointed in the food for the price, I paid $9.80 for a small ham salad roll and I could have done a better job at home. The service was mediocre and the cakes the same.
If you have a choice go somewhere else or have deep pockets.

Had lunch here, very nice local bakery treats with a nice seating area. Only thing to improve would be the Service area, seperating those who just want a Roll or a pie from those ordering more complicated lunches thus creating a wait for those just wanting simple fare.

We stopped here for a quick lunch while out on a weekend drive. It was very very busy but this was clearly due to its location and not the quality. After waiting almost 10 minutes we were served by 1 of many young staff who seemed to lack guidance. We got a pie and a sausage roll which were barely warm and borderline too cold to bother eating, not to mention the concern for health at that temperature.
We also got a Vanilla slice, the filling was mostly just sweat cream, not solid enough and it just oozed out and also an apple slice which the pastry just fell apart you tried to eat
i would highly recommend stopping at one of the towns nice little cafes or if in a hurry like we were a roll and ham from the supermarket is probably a better and safer option.

We eat here every few weeks as a bit of a treat. It gives pies a good name!
The crowds ensure you're eating fresh as they are always replenishing the stock. Well done to a local business.
