We chose the Valley Guest House because it looked so beautiful on the web site and it was even more beautiful being there.
We booked a Hillside cottage because it was a little more separated from the main area of lounge/breakfast room and 4 other rooms.
We had the one (of two) on the left hand side and on the balcony we thought we were in a tree cubby house, surrounded by green leaves, birds and flowers. Simply gorgeous. Whoever does the gardens deserves the highest commendation.
The room was spacious with a king size bed, large bathroom, a spa that only just fitted two average size people and comfortable furnishings.
Breakfast was make your own in the breakfast/lounge room and was only passable. Cereal, toast, juice, yoghurt, muffins and coffee.
Contact with the hosts was almost non-existent. Quick hello when we booked in, a query when we parked on the lawn because there were no parking spots for our car on the weekend, and a quick goodbye. Not necessary for lots of banter with B&B hosts but always appreciated and often part of the reason for staying with someone with local knowledge.
But a beautiful hideaway worth staying at.More
