My family, including two young children, went on opening night, and we really didn't know what to expect. The ads had stated that this was the top show of 2014, and if opening night is any indication, 2015 should be a repeat. Even my older son, who professes to hate country music, had fun.

The only complaint we had was that the bathrooms did not have changing tables. Our five-month-old needed a diaper change and my wife ended up changing him on the bathroom floor before the show. Once we entered the auditorium, we were notified that there was a nursing/changing room at the back of the auditorium that we could use if we needed it, but it would have been more useful to have known that information earlier, or if the facility would update their bathrooms with a changing table.

That frustration aside, we really enjoyed the show. The way the program brings you through the history of country music is interesting and informative, and the way that the show recognized special groups and individuals (grandparents, veterans) was heartfelt and, as a veteran myself, much appreciated.

While I realize there are far too many artists to feature, my only complaint about the show itself was, where was the George Strait song? You can't have a country music tribute without mentioning George. In any case, we look forward to our next opportunity to see the show.

Congratulations to all the performers, band members, production crew, and staff for a wonderful start to the 2015 season! A new stage look, new song and dance numbers, some new cast members and great new costumes---equals a terrific Country Tonight! With all the theaters in town, there's a lot of entertainment competition for folks to choose from---but Country Tonight consistently remains high on the list. All due to the hard work and dedication of it's cast and crew. Be sure to add this show to your bucket list!
