We booked the Smoky Mountain Hideaway for a group of us to watch the Great American Eclipse. Family and friends from Texas, Louisiana, and Florida convened there. The house was superb - clean, modern, and well-furnished. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the views, the large porch, and the comfort of this home. The location was close to access to trails into the Great Smokies National Park, and some of the group had an excellent hike there. The owner was superb - very courteous and helpful with her online communications. And as luck would have it, nature cooperated and we had a cloudless view of the total solar eclipse in the company of loved ones, far from the madding crowd!
If you are looking for a secluded retreat, this is the place for you. This well furnished and stocked spacious cabin was perfect for a laid back family get together. The cabin comfortably sleeps 10 and has plenty of room for guest privacy. The mountain views are spectacular from the large back deck with plenty of seating and ceiling fans to keep everyone cool and comfortable. There is a large downstairs area for the kids or those seeking time away from the group. The owner's attention to details geared toward making our stay a memorable occasion was greatly appreciated.
