We have come to Hill Country Pottery twice in the last few months. Brian and his wife are very welcoming and friendly. We have bought their pottery twice because it is so beautiful and unique.

We love using our bowls because they are functional and beautiful. The view from the shop is stunning. If you like, you can get a lesson and take home your "art", or if you call ahead, you can arrange lunch and a demonstration of pottery making for your group. There is a charge, but we enjoyed the demonstration with our group of about 20.

It is worth the trip if you just want to browse the pottery shop and find a great gift for someone.

We met the potter himself, who gave us a tour of the studio and kilns. It's a beautiful spot where you can take your own wine and watch the sun set over the hills. I bought several brie cheese plates (with a delicious recipe), some unique Christmas ornaments to give as teacher gifts, and a fruit colander to keep fruit fresh in the fridge. I could have bought a lot more, but we hadn't even made it to Comfort yet!

This is a quaint little shop with beautiful pieces. The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour and walked us through the process of how the pottery pieces are made. We had no idea the process took so long from start to finish. It made us appreciate the art much more! He offers classes which would be really fun for a future trip. We enjoyed our visit!

We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were surprised to be the only visitors. The Potter's wife greeted us promptly, spent time to explain the different pieces and finishes, and found things that were not on display. Sge also helped us to order some custom pieces, despite the fact that it was a relatively small dollar amount. We enjoyed the outdoor sculpture garden / patio as well as the beautiful, secluded location. A myst!

Scenic drive to the pottery shop in Hill Country. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the patio after shopping. I agree with another reviewer....unique and practical pieces. Took home a yarn bowl, a wine bottle holder and a bowl for matcha tea. Check out the sink in the restroom.
